Pittsboro’s Perfect Pepper

December 14, 2008 at 5:51 pm 1 comment

How about a packet of Pittsboro pepper seeds? (Try to say that three times.) Turns out that Farmer Doug Jones out at the Piedmont BioFarm has developed several varieties of peppers that grow especially well in our fair region. You can purchase a packet of these seeds, or give ’em to your friends for Christmas, for just $15. It’s called the Abundance Pepper, ’cause the seeds go to show what the good folks at the Abundance Foundation have been saying:  that we can get what we want, or something better, when we work together for sustainable community. Proceeds support the foundation’s seed preservation project.
